From the photos it looks crude, but this is not true. He actually used a very thin film to cover the entire surface of the shell, and the very thin magnetic shim. So that way, when you take your thumb and rub it inside of the shell, you can’t actually feel the shim. It is covered with the yellowish tinted film that you can see in the photos. Very deceptive.
